Today BBC Three will air a new comedy called Enterprice, written, created and starring Kayode Ewumi alongside his co-star Trieve Blackwood-Cambridge. It will follow the journey of Kazim and Jeremiah, two guys who have set up a delivery service. With hopes to get a big investor for their company whilst navigating the day to day pressures of life, business and relationships.
Kayode Ewumi wrote Enterprice, a story about two young black entrepreneurs, with the aim of creating something that wouldn’t be defined as a “black show”.
The Bafta Breakthrough Brit recipient was inspired by a wave of sophisticated US comedies and dramas, such as Donald Glover’s Atlanta, of which Ewumi cannot get enough.
The National Theatre’s production of Pinocchio, complete with selected songs from the Disney film (Leigh Harline, Ned Washington and Paul J.Smith) features some wonderful puppetry, theatrical illusions and some sweet moments of heart and humour.
Pinocchio by Dennis Kelly, featuring songs and score from the Walt Disney film by Leigh Harline, Ned Washington & Paul J Smith, adapted by Martin Lowe, begins previews from 1 December, 2017 at the National Theatre, with press night set for 13 December 2017.
